District 6330 Membership Chair
Arch Klumph Society Member
As we enter November - "Rotary Foundation" month - our District gratefully celebrates our first Arch Klumph Society members. This donation was made from the estate of a long-time Rotarian and surviving spouse who wish to remain anonymous.
We thank the donors for their support and look forward to this legacy providing Grant funding for years to come. This very generous donation to The Rotary Foundation's Endowment Fund will help our Rotary continue to do good in the world every year.

As current District Rotary Foundation Chair, and on behalf of District 6330, it's clubs, and individual members we sincerely thank the donors for their profound long-term support of our efforts.

Spin the Wheel - Polio Auction
The Hanover Rotary Club hosted a "Spin the Wheel" auction to raise funds
for Polio.

At our October 26th meeting each member donated an item for the auction,
and $350.00 was raised.  With a 2 to 1 match from the Gates Foundation
that's over $1000.00 for Polio.

Thanks to everyone for your generosity.

Shore to Shore Road Race sponsored by the Rotary Club of Wiarton

The Rotary Club of Wiarton was pleased to host the 68th Shore to Shore Road Race from Oliphant to Wiarton on Oct 11th with 125 runners and walkers participating, in person, on a beautiful fall day.   The event generated participation of not only the racers but a community of volunteers, donors ,  and supporters, It was a great success raising funds for Rotary projects and programs in the Wiarton area.

For many of the runners, ranging in age from 11 to 78, it was their first live event since COVID started.  There was a lot of excitement in the air and the volunteers seemed to be just as thrilled as the runners.  To quote one of our long-time Rotarians, "At last, something we can all do together!"  From a racer “Thank you Wiarton Rotary! So grateful for the in person opportunity.

It is that time in Rotary again!
Every three years, Rotarians meet at the Council on Legislation to review and vote on proposed changes to the legislation that governs Rotary. In April 2022 they consider enactments, which change Rotary’s governing documents, and position statements by the RI Board.  The online learning, zone institute training has been completed; and, the enactments are available to review and study. Interested Rotarians can access the proposed legislation through the link provided.  https://my.rotary.org/en/document/proposed-legislation-2022-council-legislation

As well, the annual cycle of the COR is in full swing for October and November 2021 to review and vote on the resolutions made to the RI Board and the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation.  The resolutions are also available for all Rotarians to view and study.  Click here to access the proposed resolutions.

An interesting change has been occurring during the past couple of COL/COR cycles and it has to do with the number of proposed enactments and resolutions put forward.  This year the COL will be reviewing 92 proposed enactments and 36 proposed resolutions, down greatly from years past when 300-400 documents were not unusual.  Improved review of eligible proposals by RI as well as grouping of proposals that are addressing the same issue have made the process much more efficient.

Should any Rotarians have questions or comments about our important parliamentary process please let me know.
