In our business we have insurance and investment companies contact us with a similar phrase, “we are from head office and here to help!” Most have good intentions to help our organization however those who are most helpful understand our vision and action plans before suggesting how they can support us.
Over the next few months club presidents and directors will be working to complete action plans that align with Rotary’s vision statement “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”
Your club needs your input! Consider how you would answer these questions;
What will your club look like in 5 years? What do you see yourself doing with Rotary in the next 5 years?
Will your club be more diverse and at the same time create an inclusive club environment that appreciates unique characteristics allowing members to share their ideas and other aspects of their true and authentic selves?
What does take action to create change in your community, around the world and in your self, mean to you?
Do you see an opportunity to engage another part of the community that is not part of your club?
Is there an opportunity for starting a cause-based club like supporting veterans or eliminating human trafficking?
Please take time to reflect on these questions and provide your responses to your club president.
Thanks to all clubs who have entered club goals into www.rotary.org and for those who are still working on goals, we are here to help!
